Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic as well as Ilkay Silk - a talented actor as well as a writer, director, and producer. Anna Silk is daughter of a Briton as well as a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. When she was a girl, she appeared in a variety of commercials. Then, in November 1999 Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career. She eventually making the move into Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in a Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna became a Jew in 2011, after she converted to Judaism.
