Emily Bett Rickards was born in July 1991. She is an Canadian Actress best known as Felicity on the CW's television show Arrow. Rickards was raised and born in British Columbia. Her career began at a young age, she was introduced to dancing and musical theatre in the hopes of taking on more serious acting. After high school, she graduated before the age of 18, and then attended Vancouver Film School, completing the Acting Essentials program. Once she was done with the program, she went to an audition that was open and she was signed. Alida Vocal Studio, Vancouver is where she studied. Originally signed as a one-episode guest on the show, her relationship with the show's star Stephen Amell coupled with positive reactions from fans as well as her funny quips earned her first being signed as a recurring co-star in the rest of the first season.
